Exterior colour behaves nothing like interior colour. Full sun lifts a shade by several tones, and a colour that looks soft on a card can read stark across an entire wall.
Start with what you can't change
Roof colour, brickwork, stone, pavers and aluminium window frames all stay. Pick your wall colour to work with those first, not against them.
Go a shade lighter than you think
Sunlight washes out colour. A mid-grey on a swatch often finishes closer to a light grey across a full facade.
Limit yourself to three colours

- A feature colour for the front door or garage
Consider the heat
